Thanks...I see your point Rootsie (yeah, we were talking about dreads). However, locks have been both a blessing and a curse in a society where ,depending on where you live, you may or may not be ostracized. There are, while not many that I can think of, soceities where locks are well accepted and the locksman revered to a relative degree.
I've got to say though...the austerity of locks is not just meant to be a flag of identity for the outside world. While some may benefit from the austerity of being an outcast, I think the main benefit was always having the physical reminder of what One is trying to acheive in theirSelves. Does that make sense?
I really do see your point though...and I am humble enough to say that I'm sure I do have some kind of white arrogance within in some odd way that I have yet to realize. Frankly though, cutting the lock would just make it so much easier to forget all that and slip right back into the thing, I'm trying to be wary of that.
