If it would apply as well to mindset/people, then we'd need to aske, "Why'd we play around with our good thing in the beginning to wind up here." But I'm not convinced that this is the pivotal issue for us, so I think the question has more to do with "Why are we obsessed with the quality of our refined white rice meals when we shouldn't be eating it anyway." In another phrase, if the question is given this way, "Can we clean the pig stye as our home with the pig in it or do we need to get rid of the pig to keep the pig stye clean as our home." I think we've been conditioned to think too far away from our home. I'm not saying we don't need to address the mortal realities of the "race;" What I'm saying is that most of the answers about how to address that reality will come from checking our own mindset. We're a bit lax in that area, still.
