Heartical Reasonings, Ras Rootka Zebulun,
These discussions show clearly that Rastafari is both Lion and Lamb. Truly, I&I are ready warriors conscious and able to fight when necessary, but some are also aware of a higher means of 'fighting'.
This is the Melchizidek Battle of Peace and Love. It is the only way to conquer without bloodshed and with certain victory. This was the lesson of the Krystos, which is Iternal. This was the same lesson taught by Emperor Haile Selassie I. I have maintained that this is the proper Rastafari pathway from the first publication of my book in 1981.
The book "The Art of War" teaches: Never go into battle in anger. You are certain to lose, because the passion of anger blinds you to correct action." Wise words. When I returned to Jamaica after living 8 years in racist England, I could not speak to any of my white friends for 10 years, I was so ANGRY because of the Black history I had learned while there and was now learning as Rastafari. But I am glad to say that time and study of correct spiritual attitude, has taught me to put aside anger and to seek the pathway that builds. There is great advantage in length of days, as it gives time to contemplate actions from the perspective of experience. I have no time for hatred or anger to accomplish my goals, because many examples have shown I this is not the way.
Though I seriously require my Reparation Rights and Human Justice, experience and guidance from I Creator JAH RASTAFARI is showing me how to act to make this objective be not for material but spiritual gain.
As you said: "Rasta is about a spiritual revolution not about black against white or whatever. But the righteous against the wicked! His Majesty even show us that we must love our enemies as Christ also taught, but some Rastas talking about revolution? Nuh me aint in dem tings deh Rasta! RASTA IS ABOUT GODLINESS, CHRISTLINESS NOT REBELLION! SELASSIE I! RASTAFARI!
I knew my post would engender much comment from both sides of the discussion. I shall leave you all to continue it.
ONE LOVE
Makeda
