colorism and the divide and conquer strategy based on the quantity of melanin should not be dienied by conscious one as it is part of our reality. It is true that the dark skinned african suffer the worst racist treatment and at times at the hands of fellow unconscious africans. That is reality !!
Now my problem arises when we begin to associate that with leadership! Are we assuming that dark skinned africans because of their experiences will be in the fore front of the struggle ? How do we understand leadership here : do we mean the person ( i.e. body!) or their interests or issues ?
i will go with the second conception i.e. the interests and issues remember all africans are victims of racist white supremacy order whether in the form of capitalism , democracy , communism , colonialism , christ-insanity or /and islam . Naturally so called light skinned will be part of the struggle , they can lead it too , raising issues affecting all africans whether light or dark skinned .
we will be playing in the hands of the enemy if we are to restrict our idrens because that is /was intention of the racists !
