I think self-determination is a worthy goal for all nations . . . i.e. Africa for the Africans, Europe for the Europeans, Asia for the Asians. I think when we all take care and respect each nation's right to self-determination, all benefit. Problem is . . the European powers don't want Europe for the Europeans, they want the World for the Europeans. This is conflict.
The struggle of Africa for the Africans I feel is intertwined with the conduct of those in the European/American world . . . a white American has more sway than an African in these days and time, we as "whites" with an inherited priviliged social position should use this power wisely to benefit Africa for the Africans. Know thyself is the first and greatest step, and this, imho, will show when to speak and act and when to shut up and listen.
