Neither Patriarchy or Matriarchy has to be systems of one sex group dominating the other. However, the Black nation in the United States and in some former slave colonies was given a psedo-matriarchy during slavery and that legacy continues today. It goes like this:

BLACK MATRIARCHY (in the US)

No male in the home above a certain age
No fathers, no husbands
A mother and her daughters
A grandmother in charged and is the eldest
aunts, sisters, nieces,
Females are trained to be independent and to get educated
Some males are trained to depend on their mothers/women for psychological and economic support.
Some males at a distance physically and psychologically, yet the males also support the family
Males not disciplined and allowed to do as they please.
All decisions are made by the women in the family
Males are constantly degraded as "no good men,"
Both boys and girls are raised with negative feelings about males.
In some cases, (in some US communities), the system encourages the removal of males (husbands, fathers) from the home so the mother can have control of the finances which can come from the father/fathers or from the system of support.
A DOMINATING GRANDMOTHER WITH A NUMBER OF DAUGHTERS AND GRANDCHILDREN CONTROLS THE FAMILY.
(During slavery, children were ripped off from this type of family and in some cases fathers and sons were "quartered," burned alive, lynched or eliminated right in front of the women to instill fear in them (see "The Willie Lynch Letter,").

This is the type of matriarchal system that many of us see. Mind you, this is not a system where a husband is not living and the wife leads the family, it is a system created by the slave era plantation system and the welfare system. In this system, an older woman whose husband is not around leads the family and everyone looks up to her due to her wisdom and age. In some cases she can be a lady, in other instances she can abuse her power.

Matrilineal:
The matrilineal system is being confused with the "matriarchy" that was rare in many African societies but was nether-the-less part of the system. However, the matriarchy in places like a certain countries in West Africa debased men because as women became able to gain hold of their finances (ie marketwomen, ect), they also became as dominaring and as brutal as today's Black feminists are becoming due to the fact that the white system has given them a place at the white man's table.

However in the matrilineal system, men were expected to lead their families, keep their families in tact and maintain extended families. Yet, when it came to tracing lineage, THE FEMALE LINE WAS TRACED. This type of system existed among some Africans while others had a PATRILINEAL SYSTEM, where lineage was traced on the father's side. The Zulu or a related group and many others had patrilineal systems, while neighbors had matrlinieal or combinations.

BLACK Patriarchy
Male is the head of the family, but wife/woman has lots of influence.
Males and females raised by their mothers at a young age.
Males trained by their fathers from about ten till late teenage.
Family is composed of husband, wife, children, extended family,
both boys and girls are expected to be educated and gain knowledge.
Fathers protective of their daughters, discipline their sons.
Fathers expect both their sons and dauthters to become successful and make a name for themselves.

The Patriarchy in Black/African societies that follow African tradition cannot be compared to the partriarchy Europe, India, the Middle East. Patriarchy in African societies not influenced by radical Islam (NOTE THE WORD "RADICAL") does not oppress women. It is a system that makes sure that all are equal.

The false "patriarchy" introduced to Africa from the Middle East however is totally different and it has nothing to do with African culture. JUST AS FEMALE CIRCUMCISION, A SEMITE PRACTICE IS NOT OF BLACK AFRICAN ORIGINS, YET AFRICANS CONTINUE TO USE THIS BRUTAL PRACTICE. There are certain practices introduced by the Semite invaders from the Middle East that is part of their culture and not part of Black/African culture.

In India the same is the case. The customs introduced into India by the nomadic, barbarian "Aryan-speakers," was nothing like the system of male and female equality that India had before the invasions from the North of India. The practice of female "dowrey" of burning women, or brutality against women was not part of the ancient Indo-Negroid/Negro-Austrolid civilization of India (see www.dalitstan.org/books/sudroid ) The ancient Indian system was matrilineal (men traced their ancestry on their mothers' side). Yet today, the way women are treated in India, one will never believe that like Africa, India was one of the world's most women-friendly nations (as California is today).

Patriarchy in Black society has nothing to do with oppressing women or maintaining domination over women. In fact, what we call "patriarchy" in Black/African societies and Pan-Negro societies is a mixture of male and female ideas created to maintain survival of the race. For example, we are aware that in Sudan, an Arab who has children with an African wants to claim the child as Arab. Yet, African societies reject any claim from the male line in cases of foreign invasion, rape, or even marriage when it comes to someone not of the indigenous Black African group.

The Pharonic system was a typical example of that. Even when foreign invaders such as the Hyksos, Assyrians, Saites, Greeks, Persians, Romans and other male invaders and kings took the throne of Egypt, their children were not recognized as anything but being Egyptian if the woman on the throne was Egyptian.

So today in Sudan, Somalia, Kenya, Egypt and other nations where Arabs have created a mixed culture that have been programmed to attack pure Blacks and proclaim false racial identity, (as in Dafur, Sudan, Nuba Mountains, South Sudan), many of those of African blood and African mothers are very uncomfortable with being labled "Arab."

This idea of a few foreign men raping and creating a half-caste of offspring, while converting the majority of pure Blacks to their religion, in a nation and calling that group "their group (Arab)" is another scheme of colonialism. That is why it is rejected by many Africans and that is why the tracing of ancestry and lineage on the female side is appreciated by male and female in many African cultures.

In retrospect, a system that respects the rights of men and women as individuals and the family as the core and center of the Black nation is what is needed. Patriarchy in the Black world where Black African culture dominates does not mean domination of women, it means co-existance and equality with women. However "patriarchy" in the Southern European world like Italy, France, Spain (unlike Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Russia, ect), or in the Arab world, or in India, or among some in North Africa or among the oppressive minority in the Anglo-Saxon world (at least since the 1960's) is the "patriarchy" where the rights of women and other groups are constantly threatened.

On the other hand, over the past 100 years, radical feminism led by people like Magaret Sanger grew out of the racist agenda of "feminists" who were connected with eugenics (the same program copied by the Germans to create "superior," people and delcare some "inferior,"). The feminists agenda was to promote sterilization, abortion, family planning and find a way to eliminate "the unfit," and proclaim, "more children for the fit, less for the unfit." This idea led to family planning, population control and eugenics. Tens of thousands of people were sterilized (as is done to Black women in Brazil and India today).
See, Magaret Sanger, "Birth Control." The feminists agenda was lowering or eliminating the population of Blacks, American Indians, Jews, Italians, Irish, Southern Europeans and others who were not Anglo-Saxons, Germanics or Nordics.

Later, during the sixties, feminism was sweetened to make it appear that the white promoters of "feminism," only wanted to make sure that "poor" ie Black women had abortions.
Yet, if one looks at what is occurring today, WHERE ARE THESE BLACK AND WHITE 'FEMINISTS," DEMONSTRATING NEAR THE SUDANESE EMBASSY IN WASHINGTON DC ABOUT THE THOUSANDS OF BLACK AFRICAN WOMEN WHO HAVE BEEN RAPED IN DAFUR, SUDAN?
Where are these Black and White "feminists," complaining and working to stop the racist confinement of thousands of Black men and women in many of English-speaking nations such as the US, Australia, England, Canada and others?
They are no where to be found because "feminism" and especially radical feminism is a scheme of genocide and the promotion of abortion and Black family destruction. It has nothing to do with the equal or human rights of women but with the taking of power and domination by white women who will then use Blacks and other women as their surrogates. This scheme is jus like what the "white" Arabs of Sudan and Egypt are doing in Dafur, Sudan by dividing the Africans and having them destroy each other.
