Although this question was not directed to I personally, I think that Africans/Rastas do not have to agree on the ultimate value of any one ancestor, including Haile Selassie, to understand a Pan-African point of view. People are quite entitled to their own heroes, especially among African personalities who contributed to increasing awareness.
