The same daily struggles and poor media hamper Africans right across the Diaspora from interacting properly.

There is the African Union, and Africans should be pushing for a greater role and funding for that body. African organizations from throughout the Diaspora should be allowed to be part of the African Union, as the variety of perspectives can show many more areas of cooperation.

People do not have to travel physically throughout the Diaspora to get an awareness that there are Africans throughout the world surviving under harsh conditions, and can share their insights and resources. There are Africans, for instance, in our region who are trading more with other African nations. Already there are flights directly from the Caribbean to parts of Africa. These are mutually beneficial services that can be expanded.

Africans on the continent should be encouraged to find common ground with Africans of other ethnicities, and across the Diaspora, as most Blacks already share common experiences at the hands of Whites, and our indigenous cultures all share common social values. These have to be incorporated into local ethnic awareness so they can build more channels of cooperation.

Africans on the continent should work to remove those silly colonial border restrictions, so Blacks can move easier throughout the continent. They need to set up their own African free trade area to further encourage African nations to get favorable conditions when dealing with each other.

Most of all, informed Africans should be working on building themselves and their communities while sharing their insights so more people can get involved. We should all be making appeals for Reparations from these colonial powers. The appeals should be constant, as they must remain aware that we are attempting to fix a problem that they exacerbated. It is not up to any one person to fix it for everyone. The key is to build people from right where we are in our respective countries. Africans are already helping to build local communities. More can do this while sharing history and insights that will allow more people to develop an international awareness of things. But we cannot force anyone to get along, or to expand their awareness. Those who chose to do this will realise they can survive and prosper with the support of others who do the same.
