It is not a contradiction at all.
I have found that many so-called white American women who marry black men are more fanatically pro black than black women married to black men.
In fact, these same fanatically pro black white women are sometimes fanatically anti Jewish, anti Hispanic, and anti Asian in order to fit in better with what seems to be the current and growing popular black attitude toward these ethnic groups.
