I agree that there can be cultural diffusion without a migration or absorption of the genotype. Yet, as far as large black populations not occupying the European side of the Mediterranean and being represented in the current genepool, does'nt disprove my contention. The wall paintings of Crete, depict the people as African. Julius Ceaser claimed that the population of Spain was brown, and due to the Moorish invasion seven to eight hundred years later from Africa; we still see remnants of the African phenotype in the people of Spain and Southern Europe. This is inspite of the Ethnic cleansing in Spain; where the Africans were either deported to Africa or the Americas. Southern Europeans in Europe and even in the US are looked down upon in some quarters as not being really "WHITE" and are atimes called "NIGS" by other whites. Some of these individuals grease their hair or keep it low or bald, in order to hide the woolly texture; not to speak of their under arm and other unseen areas of the body.
Napoleon claimed that Africa begins in the Pyreneas; the Italians say that anything South of Rome is African, and Sicilians are called "SWAMP GUINNEAS". The term Guinea in Berber means Black Man. In England the people from Malta are considered black, and their language belongs to the Afroasiatic group. One can speak of the "BLACK IRISH". Where did they come from? The Greeks claimed that Aethiopia's power extended upto their border, meaning what is today called Turkey. I would venture to say this was so at the time of the Trojan War. The point is that the inter play between pheno and genotype can be very tricky. Given that Africans are the parent group of the human specie; a blue black person can be the carrier of the European genotype without having a white or European ancestor. Such an anamolly does exist in Aethiopia, where that said genotype is found only in Aethiopia and not amongst Caucasian or white people in Europe. It almost seems as if in anticipatiting the need for adaptation, the genotype changes or evolves before the actual change in the phenotype; due to natural selection. One more point, I sincerely hope that the scientific data is not being manipulated to prove or substantiate a not out of Africa model for the European side of the Mediterranean.
