Foundamentalist literalism is the cornerstone of superstition and arrogant ignorance . The Holy Bible is a book of stories of a people , some real and others imagine . The use of the bible in Rastafari is purely to reach those captivated by it , as such we re-interpeted it to save the African soul of our people , who were "broken" and divorced from who they are . The history of Rastafari is a movement of liberation , religion and theology is but a tool in that quest .

Many of the founding elders of Rastafari could not read , That should show you what part the bible plays in the groundation of Rastafari . It is not what is outside that defiles , but what is inside that makes one unclean , it is not one says and preaches that is important but what one does and accomplish . The end is not justified by the means but the means justifies the end- it is how you live that is important not how or if you died .

The body is the temple of the living Spirit-Jah ,keep it pure and treat it with reverence, for Jah dwells within and never dies . For in the creation it was the Father who made the body and said it was good , why then say some that it defiles the living ? If Jah dwells in the body , then it is scared , as the ground where Moses stood in his presence , and removed his sandals in observance of Jah's Holy presences where ever he is or have been . Render your hearts and not your garment , The so called dead , is garments that have been discarded , for the indwelling spirits has moved . It is not what we wear or how we look but rather what we do and did that counts us among the righteuos .

To sin is to err , which bring its own compensation . Whitout proper preparation to step into fire is to burn , you have erred and so you suffer and feel pain-death

If it be true that the wages of sin is death , then Christ Jesus though risen has died first , is then guilty of sins , and likewise all Man shall rise as he did ,for the spirit can never die . Where then is death ? what i ask is death ?
If man is Jah -how can he died

So it is that when man and man see with literalistic eyes the stumble and miss the point , as the jews still think man is for the sabbath , and have not recognize that the sabath is for man .
