We empathize with any movement that seeks progress and does in fact promote other sites that are sensitive to African issues. Those who wish "to express the abundant knowledge shared on this board in a more concrete fashion with the larger community" can attempt to do so. No problem there.
It is my opinion that although you may want to contribute to the cause, you have not approached this topic on a Black-owned site in the right way.
You openly discuss the formation of a new site and logo on this site. This type of behaviour is unfortunately typical of many Blacks who feel that they can do things better. Again, there is no problem with feeling so. But what is unfortunate here is that this type of discussion would have never taken place in a 'respected' white-owned site. Contrary to the compliments paid by karibkween, it is like 'you' really don't value the efforts of Blacks here and it shows a lack of respect.
Anyhow that is my two cents.
