Last time i saw Midnite, Vaughn kept repeating at the end of the last song these sentiments, and I cannot quote because I do not remember his actualy wordsound. He said something to the effect of '98.6 degrees equatorial heat, was all carry it, burn out all other conception that you have, we all carry 98.6 equatorial heat . . . ' It was such an eloquent and profound way to express the oneness that we all share in the human family while reminding us of our common progenitor in the womb of equatorial Africa.
I feel that the struggle of African people of the diaspora and ones on the continent necessitates that we do not forget the struggle against white supremacy and overs that these constructs still hold the world in chains. There is NO contradiction between unity and duty Iyah . . . I will never look down on a man for holding his order in strict Blackness and not think the man is fighting for something different than I. Ones who have this I-Sight will overstand the totality and know how to fit into the scheme a things.
