I don’t have any problem with Rosa Parks being honoured either.
The point is, choosing people for promotion based on the lightness of their skin, still happens. I am familiar with many such cases. It does not mean Rosa Parks or any similar person is bad or unworthy. But it means there are other dark-skinned Blacks who will go unnoticed and unrewarded. I can give several stories about this.
Out of sensitivity to the fact that Rosa Parks just passed forward and is being honoured, I will save this for another time.
