Why are you firing pon I-man and calling Iman Eurocentric because I have no problems with Afrikans who practice Christianity, Judaism, or Islam?
Peter J. Paris, who is an authority on Afrikanisms in Christianity and teaches at the Princeton Theological University says exactly what I said: that most Afrikan religions are inseparable from their livity and do not have names. (see "African Spirituality: Search For A Common Moral Discourse).
This is actually a blessing. Afrikan religions have never been the cause for wars and forced conversion. Afrikans have long overstood that everyone believes in something. Afrikans fought over land and resources, but never "to convert the heathens". It is for this reason that Iman able to co-exist with people whose cosmological perspectives differ from my own.
Further, I-man sight what the other Ras dem say about the divisiveness of Eurocentric religions. I-man finished with Jew, Christian, and Muslim long time ago. At the same time, it is true that Malcolm X, Marcus Garvey, and MLK Jr. used the Christian Scriptures as a source of strength and inspiration.
Iman sight a tremendous amount of negative energy on this thread. Eja you refuse to heed the wise words of the Ras on this board when dem tell you say nah fire pon Rasta. No angry talk in the House of Love.
