I agree with Ayinde I am very aware of the dynamics of colourism amongst black people. It should be discussed and not ignored. It has had a profound effect on how percieve each other as black people and in our social standing. I know for a fact it is deep rooted in Jamaican society but the roots are broad. Some physcotic reasons for wanting light skinned children by darker skin brothers who will go with reddest/whitest women or the fact that the some light skinned black people are so arrogant and so proud of their reddnes near to white complexion is again bordering onto madness. This is an issue I'm not sure if it will go away because so deep rooted in the black physce and it has been passed on from generation. Fyahman you are so right the Jeezus business has really reaked havoc on black people's minds I even find some Ras get mudded up. As for me it was process of scraping the Roman mentality outta me head.
