I see your point…yet I think superseding what one may perceive as mere jealousy, even, is a palpable resentment to this dissimilar treatment and elevated sense of entitlement in which the beneficiaries are swathed; unfortunately, far too many of us have been trained in the vein of Pavlov’s Dog—reaction based on conditioning…liberation moves in reverse until we firmly set the parameters by which our beauty, dignity and history: identity-is defined…but the reason, in my opinion, colorism festers is because of the one drop rule…it’s a detriment to the survival of our people…it is a crutch used by integrationists to keep a toehold in this African liberation struggle; eventually that toe becomes a foot…well, I do not wish to become a footnote like the Moors, nor do I desire perpetual apathy…however, I strongly suspect that this is the compromise on their agenda (though numerous generations away still). With infinite media; monetary resources; propaganda; and tokenism at their disposal, our task seems Sisyphusan.
