* I agree with you. We must learn this stuff. Haiti was only "united" on paper and the manifestation of this "independence" died along with Toussaint. For 200 years the Haitian state has managed to remain immobile, inept, and idle when it comes to implementing sound economic and social policies; develop its infrastructure and serve as a viable and centralized government for its citizens. In any of the Carib. Islands people who got fair skin, got money. They are part of the morally repugnant elite, they are the reason why Haiti is so stranded. These people sell their souls to keep Haiti in a constant insecurity to make the white men happy. They don’t have the brain to think that the white men are only using them as scapegoats…Go to NJ, Montreal, or Brooklyn to see how Haitians treat each other and cause problems in their respective communities (gangs). There is undisguised reality that even the dullest Haitian wouldn't waste his/her, time denying to an audience. Where is the "unity" that most speak about? Where is the "L'Union Fait La Force" of a poor country [Haiti] and its inhabitants that seems to never happen?
I clearly understand everything brother Eja has written but again that is how I feel. The laws of the universe have been broken by the Haitian government for 200 years. Now, the great African Gods must act in a manner that Haitians can comprehend: death, hunger, pain, and misery. May we all, black Africans by descent, learn from this backwardness and do something important.
You said: [ The Colonial powers are doing all they can to ensure that Haiti is never seen as an African success story.]
* Well yes! Who give Haitian people a chance to govern themselves? NOBODY. The American troops formed by the UN are in Haiti and of course barrage and nauseate the country, to finally prevent Haitians that go to USA & Canada working long hours in factories, to really care of this country!
You said: [ The type of unity needed to deal with the complex nature of Africans is self unity (one that can be realized at the core of all who choose to examine themselves). Of course, this may not bring the results some desire initially, but it would guarantee that more people reach personal freedom, thus ones are able to soulfully contribute to advance humanity in the interest of the collective. We cannot force anyone to become conscious, but we should ensure that if/when they choose to do so the tools are available.]
* Yes, I think you made an interesting point!
You said: [ They need to realize that the White/Semitic influenced 'religions' are not in our collective interest. ]
* Certainly!
You said: [ I feel all 100% Black Africans will understand this reasoning, so Eja should not feel the need to explain away everything. ]
* Yeah, but the constant meddling of Europeans trying to get into our sh**doesn’t help us. These people have their own twisted reasons why they join black (cultural) movements, or attempt to destroy, co-opt, or take it over and turn it as a tool of white supremacy and anti-blackness, or dilute it to such a weak extent that it no longer remembers what it was founded for! My dear brother Ayinde, may the Gods of Africa help us!!!
