Which comes first, fixing up the civil society or fixing up the military society? Do you think the two can be done in tandem or, do you think the military is the most vital body in a society?

it may be difficult to build the infrastructure of civil socitety, if the society cannot protect itself militarily. i dont think that the military is the most vital aspect of society, but it does have its place.

When you speak of an African Union force, what kind of people do you visualise as being at the head this force?

well, one would hope that the people who are at the head of this force, have the peace and security of africa as a forefront on their agenda.

What will be the operational doctrine of this force? And, how do you see the leaders getting everybody behind this doctrine?
