I wonder sometimes if you would like I to lie when I am responding.
The question was:
"On the topic of marijuana. Is there any proof of the positive or negative effects of it."
My response was:
* I personally have no proof of any positive effect, but I have witnessed dangerous effects.
What some people will call a positive might be a negative to I. It is NOT a positive for I to help alleviate the suffering of some people while they are bent on keeping the SAME mindset that causes suffering to many others, including themselves.
You said: "What about people who have been healed/alleviated from serious conditions such as glaucoma, mutliple sclerosis, been able to eat while undergoing chemotherapy or while wasting away from AIDS, etc. Regardless of its potential or lack thereof to "heal" in a psycho/spiritual sense, there is a scientific consensus that it is useful in healing/alleviating certain physical ailments."
* I have no proof of that, and even if that is true it does not amount to any significant healing in my view. Removing the symptoms of a bigger cause of illness is not my idea of healing.
I am aware of other ways to address so many things from the point of view of developing one's self, that all other methods of relief (including drug use) that does not change behaviour to one that is in the best interest of the collective pales in comparison. I promote education that brings people into balance. I will promote what I think is the best from my point of view.
That is why I explicitly said, "I am not trying to deter people in general from smoking marijuana."
It is really not an issue for I if people smoke or not. When some people ask for my assistance I would usually caution them about Marijuana and other stimulants while attempting what I share. Some dismiss my advice, and then go through some very negative experiences as a result of trying to reason with I extensively while smoking marijuana. Some then realize what I was saying is true and they give it up in pursuit of what I share. Others go the other way.
Of course, if you are not aware of the alternatives to what you think are the positive effects of Marijuana, then sure you can promote what you think is best, but I will not promote it. Instead I promote what I have experienced that moves people to deal with their underlying issues and develop consciously. This brings healing on many more levels, instead of the popular short-term relief (while people remain with their same crappy ideas and conduct that continues the cycles of suffering to others and themselves).
Maybe one day I will explain what you went through on the board. I am acutely aware of it.
