The only people that came 'out of Africa' were Africans : Black people with kinky hair (in case you don't know what African means).
You claim to be a Jamaican, which may be true, but I know that not all Jamaicans are Africans. There are Chinese Jamaicans, Syrian Jamaicans and Indian Jamaicans. I don't know which one of those you are but, not even calling all the titles of Haile Selassie I that you know will change what the creator made you (and what that entitles you to).
Yet here you are, like some other non-Africans, unable to find satisfaction with your portion of the Earth. So, you are now looking for something you say 'rasta' gave you.
"Oro o ko enu. " "Words do not reject the mouth." - meaning anyone can use any word they please. Claim any title or lineage. That is your temporary privilege. But, it is my irevocable right to reject any false linkage. I will not call a goat a pig. And I will never call a person who looks nothing like me or anyone else in my species a relative.
You davidsimmonds, have never showed the slightest overstanding of what it means (or meant) to be an African, but ignorance has never stopped your sort from offering a solution. And, you keep finding ways to sugar your droppings by mixing in words like 'rasta' and 'selassiei'. But, as someone else already pointed out, what ones like you mean when they say 'rasta' is the same as what the hebrew means when he calls 'jehovah' and the christian when he calls 'god the father'. You are coming from that same mind-set. You have the same eyes.
Which is why this simple question will always bamboozle ones like you : what does "Africa for Africans" mean? Hard for YOU to answer because first, you have to acknowledge what an African is, which means YOU have to acknowledge what you are NOT or, you have to claim to be what you are not (and hope nobody questions your forged particulars).
No, it is not going to work out the way you imagined. You hermit crabs will need to start getting used to answering to the names given you by the one who made you.
