Re: The degree of blackness
In Response To: The degree of blackness ()

"Every man is rich in excuses to safeguard his prejudices, his instincts, and his opinions" Kemitian proverb.

It is curious to me that your post has not engendered any responses from the opponents of the case for illuminated blackness/Afrikan-ness.

"What reveals itself to me ceases to be mysterious—for me alone: if I unveil it to anyone else, he hears mere words which betray the living sense: Profanation, but never revelation" Kemitian proverb.

Welcome to the light of the uninitiated/undoctrinated.

"To know means to record in one's memory; but to understand means to blend with the thing and to assimilate it oneself." Kemitian proverb.

Now that you know do you understand the difficulty of the challenge with which we are confronted? Can you see the "ploy" behind the post entitled "Questions?"

Why wasn't Shirley Chisholm accorded the respect and support she deserved by her fellow African-Americans, (exclusively male) on the Congressional Black Caucus?
