I am saying that what is widely regarded as "Black" and even "African" is managed by the same White Supremacists that you say you are opposed to.
Turner's company runs much of the world's media. And he is reputed to be a high-ranking member of the Ku-Klux Klan. So, do you think they sit down and say, "Hey, let's help spread the Rastafarian message"? or it's more "This Rastafari thing can be handled if we keep the voices behind it talking about intangibles".
I mean, if these singers feel so strongly about issues, how come not one of them has signed up with an African record label? How come not one of them will live in Jamaica, let alone Africa? How many Black artists are managed by Black managers? And how many of them soon lose their Black women for a white one?
When I my sister asked for the latest Sizzla album, it was a white boy at HMV who showed me around. He said he was a big fan of Sizzla. I asked him what he felt about the time Sizzla said at one of the Sunsplashes "Burn all the White folks off the Island!" He shrugged and said he just liked the music.
Face the obvious, my sister.
