I would like you to understand, that the great majority of black people in the western hemisphere, are not concerned about Africa for the Africans those at home and those abroad, like the majority of Africans living in Africa, are not concerned about the United States of Africa, they are mostly concerned, about a roof over their head, their bread and butter, and the protection and preservation of their immediate family and friends. Food clothing and shelter are the basic needs of all humanity, who live upon the face of this earth. If we are not in a position to offer some ways and means, for our people to acquire food clothing and shelter, then they won't follow us, but they will follow those people who can provide food clothing and shelter for them. The great brain drain which have taken place in Mama Africa, accur because people are not satified with the living conditions there. It is not only in Africa that this takes place, it is a international conception to try to go to the place, where it is more likely, for one to achieve his or her better standard of living.
You must also realise, that there are African patriots, in Africa, and in the Diaspora, who have been agitaing for Africa for the Africans, those at home and those abroad, from they were youths, and they are still doing so, even when they have become Senior Elders. This have become a cause for Justice, which they will continue to fight, since they have decided, that the struggle for the liberation of African people is their life.
Marcus Garvey is on of those people, he went to England in the year 1912, he spent two years in England, then return to Jamaica in 1914, and established, the Universal Negro Imrovement Association, an Organization which was used to educate and enlighten African people about their African glory, and their divine right to be proud to be Africa people, and to think about that great day of Repatriation. The teachings of Marcus Garvey enlightened all of those African leaders, who led their countries to Independence throughout the sixties, and are still being used in Mama Africa today, even as we speak.
The fact that Marcus Garvey did not set his foot in Africa, does not mean, that he is not an African Dignitary, Patriot and Noble Son of Mama Africa, and it does not mean that he has not made the greatest contribution to the advancement of the continent of Africa and her people, more than any black person that we can think of in this world. Marcus Garvey did not run away from the struggle of his people, he knew that his people needed him, and since he was inspired to be their teacher and leader, he made sure, that it was not about him, but it was about organizing and guiding his people into consciousness. He made a sacrifice to help his people, although, he could have easily migrate to Mama Africa. Since there were Africans in the western hemisphere, who were living in very degrading conditions, he stayed and help them to at least do better, in their thinking and consciousness.
Now there are lots of other people who are just like Marcus Garvey, they may not reach the promise land of Mama Africa, but they are going to try their best, to take back the minds of as many African people that they can. I must also advice you, that this struggle in which are participating, is really directed by the powers of this great Universe, and unless the powers of this Universe, decides that it is time for you as an Africa patriot, to be transferred to Mama Africa, to carry on you duties there, there is nothing that you can do, this is a divine fact, we can only do as we are told to do
Again I send many oceans of blessings and self determination to African people everywhere
ONE BLACK HEART ONE BLACK LOVE
Baba Ras Marcus.
