---But let us remember also that music (compared to something as powerful/controlling as religion) does not impose white supremacy to the degree of us losing our identities, minds, determination and indigenous well-being.---
i don't know dread, to some, music is religion, pound for pound we had a much greater varity of sounds in the 60's and 70's then what we do today,........one beat sounds the same right now until they become undecernable from the next,......who contols radio and the recording industry,......do the youth hear Dead Prez on the radio.....or i gotz bling, you nobody , you ain't gansta biatch,.......nukka what!!!?
i sure this type of lyrical content has some hidden meaning i'm missing because i'm corny and not into nothing and will one day (maybe) be enlightened, but right now it eludes me.
i'm sure of one thing though,.....peer pressure is a MF....today more than back in the day.
peace
