I did not mean to put it as if the religious leadership did not hide truths.
It is only a power struggle.
If Ford wanted to sell more trucks, they would need to criticize, copy and claim Chevy.
Difference with pre-christianity and post-christianity is that before, ones were more intuned to a grouping/assembly of forces, hence there was more of a communal (us/we) mindset. With the advent of MONO-theism (as presented), it eliminated a wholistic encompassing overstanding and established the ONE and ONLY God and the ONE and ONLY Savior, saving the ONE and ONLY individual. This is the reason for inflated egos. The emphasis was placed on the individual in spite of the ALL or the WHOLE.
At least people/masses were able to experience Natural Truths for themselves. After Christianity, Nature was replaced by man's (biased and fallible) words and writings ONLY.
The elimination/de-emphasis of Nature is what I am stressing.
Just like with Halloween, xtianity had to encode a spooky, devilish twist to a sacred Natural acknowledgment.
Jah's natural harvest of nourishment is now twisted into today, All Saints Day...no acknowledgment of Nature whatsoever.
Even if high-priests hid/controlled info, they still had to play within the people's sensitivity to Nature.
The key to real 'new age' religions (xtianity for example) is to de-sensitize people from Nature and instill dogma based on faith (unseen) rather than facts/nature (seen).
Santa Claus IS REAL to certain children. Why, because they have faith in him...now tell me, is there really a man living with elvis at the North Pole of the Earth?
