I wonder what ones think about what Rasta would be without the Jewish and Christian overtones. The more one learns, the more one learns of the origins of these religions. Seeing that ALL religions (Jew, Christian, Muslim, Hindu, and so on) come out of Mama Afrika/Kush, then Rasta who has been here since the foundations of Creation were laid, would remain...AFRIKAN all the while. As nyamabla so simply stated it: BLACK still. Like Iyah mentions, Rasta was here before Judaism and/or Christianity. Indeed. BLACK is the root. I know though that their are certain ones cannot get out of the bible interpretation of what Rastafari is. IMHO, Rastafari may be reflected in the bible, but this is only as the moon is to the sun of the true light which is so much much older.
