Title: New Testament apocrypha?
Post by: Jamaa on May 04, 2007, 12:44:03 PM
Hey to everybody. I'm generally interested in african and particularly in syncretic christian - african religions in and outside of the continent. I was wondering what rastafari think about New Testament apocrypha. Cos what I know is that you recognize The Bible together with Kebra Negast (which is not even known by christians) as religious writings, so is your attitude towards the apocrypha the same as the "official" church? And to continue: what other writings do you consider religious? If I'm wrong in any word I said, correct me  :)

Well, I read the Aprocrypha and it is....i would say about equal to the Kebra and the Bible.  The Aprocrypha was just left out...it still is history , seen. and also the Gnostic gospels are good to get into as well....losta tings about Yesua...different tings.  But I concider the Kebra, and the Bible as a whole, with the excluded books realitive and sacred.
