I am who I am because of my ancestors
I live because they lived
I have thought because they have thought
I have love because they have love
How can I not honor them
How can I honor a society that denies them
How can I countinue to live with out them
Why should I not turn my back on systems that disrespect them
Why should I pretend to care for those system
When will i stsnd up for them
Who am I whitout them
Who amoung us can curse them
Who among us can say they have no ancestors
Who am I without them
