My favorite African reggae artists at the moment are

**Tiken Jah Fakoly from Ivory Coast. He is a great musician, has conscious lyrics (in french, eEnglish and dioula) about the problems Ivory Coast or Africa as a whole is facing. He often openly criticize the Ivorian political elites, the neocolonial mentality of the West. His latest album 'Françafrique' was recorded in the Tuff Gong studios in Jamaica with Sly and Robbie and has guest appearances by Anthony B. and Daddy U. Roy.

**The Reggae Africa compilation CD (Hemisphere) contains nice reggae from Mali, Cameroon, Ivory Coast and 2 great songs by Harley and the Rasta Family (South Africa) 'Lions in a sheepskin' and 'Sweet reggae music'.

**Rocky Dawuni is known as the Ghanaian Bob Marley. If you hear his voice and his music you'll know why!

**Nigeria's number one reggae artist is Ras Kimono!

Enjoy GREAT reggae form the Motherland Tounge 3 Sweetheart!

We should first show solidarity with each other. We are Africans. We are black. Our first priority is ourselves.
