Whoever started this new term is a complete "idiot" for added the word black to African when everybody knows the Africans are black, so what's the point?

Africans are black and blacks are Africans, because that's the origin.

I know it's African Americans that came up with the term, it's pretty obvious to say the least. When anybody in the World mentions the African Continent, the first thought that comes to mind of the people there are obviously Melanin dominated peoples.

Africans will always be "black" so why the need to put black infront of the word?

Don't get me started on where the term "black" came from.
