When she was a queen

When she was a queen, she was revered
She had control over life and death
She was the head of the home
She developed agriculture, the arts; weaving, pottery,
She was both nurturer and provider
The ultimate nurse

When she was a queen
She was not abused, refused, mistreated, confused, misused
She was not an object of his carnal desire
She was not limited to roles of wife, housewife, concubine
She was not in his eyes, a male pleaser
She had all of his respect
She could see, think, speak and lead
She was appreciated and respected young and old
The ultimate sight to behold

When she was a queen
Her work was to raise the village, she was everybody's mother
Her work was to teach values, she was a teacher
Her boy child was prepared to be a man, not a dominator
Her girl child was prepared to be a woman, a queen like women before her
Her children had respect for her, she was the role model
Her children honored her,
She was Goddess
The ultimate woman
