Bro Africanprince, sorry I do not know anything about Loketo. I will ask for help. I know Aurlus (Mabele?) and I like the way he sing.
I am not a real veteran of Afro Soukous music although I enjoy Congo RDC bands and also from Brazza. The Congolese Soukous I'm enjoying are famed musicians like OK Jazz, Zaiko Langa Langa, Papa Wemba, Madilu System, Koffi, JB.Mpiana, Werrason, etc. I agree with you, Afro Soukous is absolutely
fantastic
, very energetic and danceable, and those guitars, aiaiaiaiaia..The bad news for African music is music producers and marketing. The marketing of CDs and videos is still a problem and the music business is tough especially in Congo. Let hope and pray for these musicians to survive these problems.

Soukous will survive, it has taken over Africa. It's so popular that the Cameroons were banning Soukous dances because they wanted to "protect" the Cameroon artists.
I remember reading an article about the poor marketing and how some of the artist are suffering. We have that same problem in Ghana also with some of our high life musicians.
Thanks anyways
