Come into the ghetto world

Open d door now step in
Come and see d life we live, how we livin
How much we give and how much we gettin
Passers-by dem say we deserving
Tun up dey nose and dem day scornin
Try ah know a god out dere blessin

Cause ghetto yout, keep wanderin
Where is the root, of all the squanderin
Livin is brute, dem keep ponderin
Where is the truth, blamin the system
Burn and loot, land pirates plunderin
Say, who shall be the next victim

Gran Mama say
D devil finds work for idle
Hands swearin on d bible
Released from the painful cuffs
"My son doh deal up in dem stuff"
She cries to the news media
Shouting "Dis is propoganda!
He’s a good boy in d area"

Always unsatisfied, we never had enough
The contractor work was all a bluff
Why we cyah live up too?
Pretty cyar, top and shoe
So we could spar wit d crew
Hot girls like dat fuh true
Comparin wants with others
Were they my keepers, my brothers?
In time of the horrors
Each man take his own cover
Granny sorry for the horrors

These days everybody measuring
A man’s value by how much say he's earnin
Masters in higher schools of learnin
The baggage of goodies carryin
Outer pleasures dictate the comfort within
Others watchin, judging and inside disturbin
Why me cyah live it up too

You see outer shell could dictate if you get scorn
Or if you liable for horn
Faster dineros from the weed
Rather than planting corn
Get rich quick or die while tryin
Cha! I wanna be flyin
Creep before you walk,
No gibberish I wanna talk
American subculture
Land of the eagle predatory vulture
Has shown me how to live large
Turn on d TV BET in charge
Spinning rims, fast cash and women adoring
That’s the life we absorbing
Who’s cute and who’s hot
Who’s rich and who’s got
Who’s limelight who’s on spot
Blinging chains with big knots
Yeah that’s the life baby!

So come into my world
See how we livin
How yankee culture shapin’
Dictatin, carefully calculating
Opinion keeping in dominion
The things that we should be craving
But puppy choke because he was craven
A nine to five is a slavin haven
No certificate of recognition
Except my nines bringing in the millions
For the things I’m needing
Consumer Ism
He’s my king
So come into my world
Come into my world
Salvation
