When a noble House
is brought to ruin
The part of it
Which the conqueror finds
most attractive
Will be the only part
To survive

Therein lies the importance
Of beautiful daughters
To the noble House
That wishes to survive
By any means neccesary

When the fame
Of your beautiful daughters
Reaches all corners
Of the earth
Then your noble House
Will attract pilgrims
From all corners
Of the earth

Eventually
The convergence
Of admiration
Will become
The locus
Of covetousness

Eventually
Covetousness
Will bring about
The ruin of a noble House

Therein lies the neccesity
For all daughters
Of a noble House
To possess modesty

Kings and Queens of ancient Ghana
Warriors and scholars
Scientist-artisans
Look at your descendants
See what remains
After earthly glories recede

Honourable ones
From the Throne of Mercy
Who became the Ga Nu Yi
of Moor-e-tania
You are now
Strangers in your own lands
Do not forget your ancestors
Turn the wheel
