WHAT WILL BE THE FUTURE OF IRAQ'S BLACK POPULATION, A COMBINATION OF
BLACK ELAMITE, CUSHITE AND ZANJ (EAST AFRICAN DESCENT)

It may have surprised many to realize that there is a significant Black
population in Iraq and that population is descended from three types of
African people.  The ancient Sumerians and Elamites were Blacks,
although many believe the Sumerians were Semites.  However, the
Sumerians were called "The Black-headed People, (see "Susu Economics:
The History of Pan-African Trade, Commerce, Money and Wealth," pub. by
1stBooks Library, www.1stbooks.com and also at www.barnesandnoble.com )
The other group Black people to occupy ancient Iraq and Iran and build a
great civilization there were the Black Elamites (mentioned in the Bible
and whose king was Kudur Nakunte), who were a very militaristic people
and fought with the Assyrians during the 600's B.C. (many who still
exist in Iraq today and are mainly Christians).  The third group of
Blacks in Iraq were the Zanj.  The Zanj were East Africans who were
captured and sold into slavery in Iraq and the other Arab lands.

THE NUBIAN WAR AGAINST THE ASSYRIANS

Between the 700's B.C. and 600's B.C., the Nubians and Assyrians were
the two superpowers on the planet.  These two nations fought each other
a few times and tried to dominate the Mediterranean.  The Nubians
confronted the Assyrians when the Assyrians invaded the Levant (Isreal,
Jordan, Lebanon, ect).  At that time, the Nubians were allied with the
Jews, who were under sever oppression.  Hence, the Nubians sent their
armies into Isreal to protect the Jews.  Not long after, the Assyrians
invaded Egypt and the Nubians were pushed southward, where they improved
the Nubian-Cushite civilization and developed their lands (see "Susu
Economics," www.1stbooks.com

THE ZANJ REBELLION OF IRAQ

During the 800's A.D., the Arabs had swept throughout parts of the
Middle East and conquered many of the lands there. They also spread from
Egypt to Morocco.  However, the Nubians and Ethiopians both Black
nations with powerful armies met the Arabs and defeated them.  According
to Chancellor Williams (The Destruction of Black Civilization," pub. by
Third World Press, Chicago, Il.), the Nubian Emperor Kalydosos used
expert miitary tactics and deceptiion to defeat the Arab armies many
times.  Moreover, the Nubians who had the most expert archers and
cavalry in ancient times, also had the same superior military during the
Middle Ages.  In fact, legions of Nubian archers and Mamelukes from
Bosnia, Serbia, the Balkans are said to have defeated the Mongol Armies
when they tried to invade Egypt in the 1100's - 1200's.

While the Nubians clearly defeated the Semites, in order to keep the
peace, "bakt" or tribute was used to keep the Semites at bay.  For 800
years from the 600's to the 1500's, the Arabs were unable to invade
Nubia (today's Sudan), however, the migrated in trickles and in hordes
and brought their livestock into Nubian-Cushite territory.  Slave raids
were conducted in which Africans were taken from parts of Sudan and
along the coast of East Africa as well as Central/West Africa to work as
slaves in Arab lands.  These groups of slaves were used along the length
of the Tigris-Euphrates Rivers in Iraq in a sophisticated plantation
system.

During the 800's A.D., the Black Zanj (Zanj as in Zanzibar, African,
ect) conducted one of the most brutal and devastating slave rebellions
ever.  For many years the slaves rebelled, eliminating large numbers of
soldiers of the Arabs.  The success of the slaves led to their control
of a large part of Iraq and the building of a slave capital.  After some
years of war between the African slaves and the Arabs, soldiers from
every Arab nation in the Midddle East was called to crush the slave
rebellion.  This worked and the rebellion was crushed.  Yet, after this
Black slave rebellion of Iraq, the extensive importation of African
slaves to do plantation labor was stopped in the Arab world.  Yet,
slaves were still brought into these lands.  Basra is said to have been
one of the major ports where Africans disembarked.  In fact, much of
Iraq's Black population live in the South.

TODAY'S BLACK POPULATION OF IRAQ, HOW ARE THEY DOING

The Black population of Iraq today is said to be about 15 percent of the
overall population.  These Blacks occuppy mainly the southern part of
Iraq and just as there are also Blacks in other Gulf nations, some who
still keep a cultury memory of Africa and continue to play the African
music and believe in the African spiritualism, Blacks in Iraq althoug
they may speak Arabic, they are part of the Cushite African people.
Today's Black people of Iraq are not only from African slave origins but
they are from the ancient Sumerians, Elamites, Cushites and other Blacks
who existed in Iraq and Iran before the migrations from the Semitic
lands or from the Eurasian plains.  In fact, the Black Cushites were in
Iraq and Iran before the migrations of the Gutites from the Zagros
Mountains or the Aryan-speaking people (Persians) from Central Asia (see
the book, "A History of Racism and Terrorism, Rebellion and Overcoming,"
pub. by Xlibris, www.xlibris.com )

IRAQ'S POPULATION: BLACK CUSHITES-ZANJ, KURDS, ASSYRIANS, CHALDEANS,
ARABS, TURKS, OTHERS

Today's population in Iraq is composed of a number of different ethnic
and racial groups.  In the area of race, there is the Semitic,
Caucasians and Africoids.  In the area of ethnic groups, there are the
Kurds, Turks, Arabs, Black Cushite-Zanj, Chaldeans, Assyrians and
others.  In fact, some of the Assyrian population in Iraq who are
Christians have become determined to revive their ancient culture.  The
Black Cushite-Zanj people who are a combination of ancient Black
Cushites and Africans of slavery era times brought to Iraq have also
taken steps to preserve their own cultures.  Kurds, Blacks,
Assyrians-Chaldeans and others have for many years felt downpressed but
have also maintained their cultures and protected themselves from the
dominant Semite Arabs.

(MESOPOTAMIA) BEFORE THE SEMITIC INVASION, read "Susu Economics: The
History of Pan-African Trade, Commerce, Money and Wealth," pub. by

Here is a little note from an article written by Peter Baker of the
Washington Post regarding how the Black female soldier was not
immegiately recognized.  "The Marines had trouble distinguishing Johnson
as an American.  They said, "Get down, get down," and one of them said,
"No, she's American."  What that simply says is that if a captive Black
female American was not recognized as such, that is because Iraq does
not have a homogeneous race or population.  The fact is Iraq has a
sizable Black population.

REBIRTH OF THE NUBIAN-CUSHITE PEOPLE

Some of the most brutal atrocities committed against any group of people
is being committed against the Black people of Sudan by people who are
mainly Black themselves (with some Arab blood) but who carry out the
same racist program and policies carried out against minorities in the
Middle East.  Yet in Sudan, the Dinkas, Nubians, Nubas and other groups
are the majority.  Yet, they are either African Christians or African
Spiritualists who are being massacred.  This racist attack on Africans
in Sudan has brought about a fury of anger from North America to Brazil,
places with significant numbers of the Black population whose ancestors
were enslaved in places like Sudan, Southern Ethiopia and the
Congo/Angola region.

We should first show solidarity with each other. We are Africans. We are black. Our first priority is ourselves.
