Title: Pyschology of Rasta Post by: Tyehimba on May 03, 2011, 10:05:46 PM “Essentially, the psychology of Rastafari is an Afro-Caribbean way of feeling, perceiving, defining, affirming and fighting for human dignity and hope in the African diaspora....[it] involves expressions of self-confidence, affirmation of one's blackness and personhood, a rejection of Eurocentric understandings of black people and their cultures, and a longing for liberation and ultimate redemption for black peoples of the world (especially the oppressed). Blacks exuding this psychology are characterized by a strong sense of purpose, pride in their African heritage, racial solidarity, racial sovereignty and self reliance. Rasta psychology is, therefore, resistance and liberation psychology - the sum total of the organized and spontaneous campaign against racist subjection, fired by the burning desire to be free from all forms of social, economic and political domination.”

Title: Re: Pyschology of Rasta Post by: Ras Regina on May 27, 2011, 07:35:30 PM Bless. Regarding "Psychology of Rasta"
InI feel the best image for the Ras to display, is one of dignified calm. A Calm words of the Wisdom that is known to the true Ras. The essence of Peace should exude from listening to the words of the Ras. A quiet, loving words in response to any question of any kind. In a recent showing of the general public being asked this following question: "What do you think of the current situation occuring in Libya?" In general, there was no reponse given that enlightened the viewers. EXCEPT: for two simple Ras. The Ras simply answered, "we are for peace". See, how simple the answer IS, yet so very many - Have lost this concept, they have forgotten there IS a concept of Peace. The two Ras who spoke wit' dis reporter knew. Blessings Allways. |
