I want to ask you in your mind,
To leave this mad mad world behind,
I ask you to picture far, far away,
A land with no night, but only day...
-----------------------------------------------------
And in this land there dwells no flesh,
But souls unspoiled, and spirits fresh,
And birds, and beasts and creeping things,
All creations of the King of Kings...
-----------------------------------------------------

And in this land there dwells no fear,
No pain, no sorrow nor sadness near,
No envy, no greed, no malice nor hate,
Does dwell inside the Zion gate...
-----------------------------------------------------
And in this land there is no death,
Only life which breathes the purest breath,
No system in place to cause destruction,
No false intentions that breed corruption...
-----------------------------------------------------
And in this land all trees bear fruit,
For all stem from the purest root,
And all root stem from Him alone,
From he who sits upon His throne...
-----------------------------------------------------
For in this land he rules them all,
All nature answers to his call,
The word of love, and joy he brings,
Jah Ras Tafari...King Of Kings...
-----------------------------------------------------
I ask now leave this place behind,
And take another trip in your mind,
But this time the journey is closer to home,
In the land where we mere mortals roam...
-----------------------------------------------------
And in this land dwells mortal flesh,
No souls unspoiled, no spirits fresh,
Where the bird, the creeping thing, and beast,
All subject to bloodthirsty feast...
-----------------------------------------------------
And in this land, fear all around,
In pain, in sorrow and sadness bound,
With envy, greed, with malice and hate,
Does dwell therein from state to state...
-----------------------------------------------------
And in this land the stench of death,
Does fast persue those short of breath,
With systems wrought in deep corruption,
Breeding armies of destruction...
-----------------------------------------------------
And in this land though trees bear fruit
The flowers dominate the root,
And claim the victory their own,
From he who sits upon his throne...
-----------------------------------------------------
Though granted dominion to rule it all,
All nature cowers to hear his call,
With tools of death, the axe he brings,
No love for Him...The King Of Kings.
-----------------------------------------------------
Go back to that land now, far away,
Where there is no night, but only day,
Now do you think you've earned the right?
To be not blinded by Jah's pure light...
-----------------------------------------------------
And in that land, much closer to home,
The place where we mere mortals roam,
Have you kept faith, through pain and strife?
Enough to be granted...eternal life.
-----------------------------------------------------
Think about it long and good,
And don't just say "I hope, touch wood",
For time remains, though the time's at hand,
When the gates will open, in Zion Land.
-----------------------------------------------------
And though the gates may open there,
Remember gates shall swing elsewhere,
Not only in Zion may your soul dwell,
So don't dismiss...the gates of hell.
